Irregular Cycles and PCOS

Dre. Karen Desrosiers

To be able to diagnose you with an irregular cycle, it all depends on how many years you are from your first ever period that we call menarche. If you are in the first year after your menarche, we cannot count it as irregular because it’s really normal and frequent to have an irregular cycle. You need to rule out any other cause that can explain the irregular cycle.
