Mental Health and PCOS

Dre. Karen Desrosiers

The last thing that your health care providers should ask questions about is your mental health. They should check for depression, anxiety. We know there is more risk of decreased self-esteem. It could be as well you have some relationship problems, sexual dysfunction, an eating disorder like anorexia and bulimia. So, I know a gynecologist is maybe not the one who will be at ease to treat you, but they should at least ask questions, screen and refer you as needed.
